Audrey Faye Jones-Hatfield was born on December 20, 1958, in Mound Bayou, Mississippi, to the late Leroy and Mamie Jones. Known affectionately as “Faye” to her friends and family, she was a woman whose presence was defined by warmth, kindness, and a legendary “heart of gold.”
Growing up as one of eight siblings, Faye understood the value of connection and community. She was the proud mother of five children—three sons and two daughters—who were the light of her life. She did a bit of modeling in her younger days; Faye was a woman of simple pleasures and deep devotion. Whether she was in the kitchen preparing a meal for her loved ones, listening to her favorite music, or settling in to watch a classic movie or old TV show, her home was always filled with comfort.
Above all, she was a helper. She had a selfless spirit and would go out of her way to assist anyone in need; in any way she could. To know her was to be cared for by her. While her passing leaves a deep void, her legacy of love and generosity will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
She passed away, peacefully on December 15, 2025, leaving behind a boundless legacy of generosity and warmth. To know her was to know a “heart of gold.” She lived her life with an open hand and a kind spirit, always finding a way to help anyone in need, no matter the circumstance. Her caring nature was her gift to the world, and her absence leaves a void that can only be filled by the many beautiful memories she created.
She will be deeply missed by her children, her surviving siblings, and a host of extended family and friends who were blessed to call her “Faye.”
