State Senator Aric Nesbitt has visited all 83 Michigan counties throughout his campaign for governor and tells us he’s found people all over have the same concerns.
Nesbitt says the complaints he’s heard from Berrien County to the tip of the U.P. are familiar.
“From Marquette to Monroe, from Muskegon to Port Huron, we’re continuing to hear the same thing Michigan has become more affordable,” Nesbitt said. “It means lowering the cost of energy, it means lowering the cost of insurance, lowering the cost of housing, and lowering the cost of government.”
Nesbitt says he spoke with one man who moved to Grayling from Tennessee and was told the cost of living here is about $5,000 more per year. He says his campaign is about helping Michigan compete with other states.
Nesbitt added the campaign has been going well as he’s topped multiple Republican straw polls.
