Lisa Anne Minter, of Berrien Springs, peacefully reached her ultimate Sabbath rest, surrounded by her daughter and siblings on Saturday, Nov. 15th, 2025.
Lisa was born to the late Daniel Q. Minter Jr. & Mary E. (Few) Minter in 1954. She was the first of what would become 5 Minter children, Daniel Q. Minter, III (Carol), Leslie K. Dowell (Randy), Mary Elizabeth Morrow (Thom) and James K. Minter.
To know Lisa was to know love. Love for Jesus, love for books, love for dogs, and especially love for her daughter Rachael Michelle Barrera (Mike). She had a very special place in her heart for what she called her ‘Minter Clan’, which included her siblings, daughter, nieces and nephews Daniel Q. Minter IV, Amanda L. Boothby (Fred), Josephine L. Cohen, Luke A. Minter, Corianne Kellems, Drake E. Dowell (Julia), Mollie E. Ursin (Matt) and great nieces and nephews who brought her great joy, Brody Decker; Chloe, Oliver, Alexa Kate, Lily, Blake, Crew and Will Boothby; Arya, Sophia, Emilia Ursin.
While Lisa loved all her four legged friends, there were five who faithfully brightened her days and lifted her spirits in the last weeks; Daisy May, Ivan, Larry, Little Bear and Zion. Lisa’s biggest smiles were saved for the most mischievous of her visitors.
Lisa was a lifelong student whose passions included spinning, weaving, knitting, painting, papermaking and many, many other arts. In later life, she focused her learning on holistic living, dedicating much of her time to health ministries.
While Lisa will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, we take comfort in knowing she loved and trusted Jesus and we have the hope of resurrection morning.
Lisa’s Celebration of Life will take place at Niles Westside Seventh-day Adventist Church in Niles, MI on Dec. 6th, 2025 at 4:00 in the afternoon.
