Jennifer Rentfrow of Edwardsburg has been hired for the position of Cass County Administrator.
The Cass County Board of Commissioners this week voted to offer the job to Rentfrow, the county’s finance director. She’s also been serving as the interim county administrator for eight of the past eleven months.
Board chair Jeremiah Jones says Rentfrow has “done an outstanding job keeping county operations moving forward during this transition.”
Rentfrow is a graduate of Edwardsburg High School and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She’s worked in accounting for 25 years. She’s also served as board chair of the Cass County Department of Human Services and on the Cass County Medical Care Facility Board.
Rentfrow says it’s been a privilege to serve Cass County in all of these roles, and she looks forward to serving as administrator.
The county board is now working on a contract for Rentfrow, which is expected to take effect later this month.
