Mary Heimberger passed away peacefully and comfortably in her home on October 24th 2025, —surrounded by her family with warmth, love, and a deep sense of peace.

Mary was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her. Her laughter could fill a room, her kindness knew no limits, and her love for her family and friends was truly unconditional. She had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for—whether through a comforting word, a “home-cooked meal”, or simply her calm and steady presence.

Mary retired from Lakeland Home Health in 2014, where she was known for her compassion, dedication, and the gentle way she cared for her patients. After retirement, many in the community came to know her as “Mary the Avon Lady,” a title she wore proudly. She loved connecting with people, sharing stories, and brightening someone’s day with her friendly smile and positive spirit.

Mary found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She adored her dogs, Andy and Lucy, who were always by her side. She loved to travel, listen to music, and dance—especially when surrounded by friends and family. Her laughter was contagious, her smile genuine, and her heart full of love for everyone she met.

She leaves behind five children, Fran Cordell of Niles, and Gail Benitez (Thomas) of Holliday FL. Darrel Heimberger of Benton City, Washington, Debbie (Denny) Russell of Niles, Diane (Robert) Carey of Niles. Many grandchildren & great children. Mary also leaves behind five siblings, Mary Joann Drous of Michigan. George Devine (Debbie) of Michigan, Olive Williams (Richard) of Michigan, Shelby Devine (Peggy) of Louisiana, Sherrie Morris (Melvin) Virginia. Many nieces and nephews / great nieces and nephews. all of whom will carry her love and lessons in their hearts forever. Mary also joins in eternal rest with Muriel (Decker) Devine (mother), Morton Devine (Father), Leon Heimberger (Husband), William Moore (1st Husband), Dustin Vanatta (Grandson) Charolette (Diane) Jackson (Sister) Samuel Devine (Brother), whose memories she cherished dearly.
