Thomas Lee Cooper, 66, of Cassopolis, Michigan, returned to his heavenly home, Thursday, October 23, 2025 and was greeted by the Lord and family that passed before him.
His life began February 16, 1959 in Pontiac the youngest of five children born to Albert and Martha Cooper. He married Rebecca Smith August 7, 1991 in Miamisburg, Ohio.
Tom lived and raised their family in Ohio for over twenty years. He was an avid football fan, always cheering on the Wolverines every Saturday. Tom was a devoted Christian, leading his life with love and compassion. His unwavering belief in God was evident in every interaction. He was known for his love of people and never missed an opportunity to share a prayer with a friend or a stranger. He spoke to everyone he met like he had known them all his life. Tom built his own successful and respected company, Solid Rock Concrete, from the ground up. He took pride in teaching his sons and many others the trade; passing down skills, values, and strong work ethics. Tom wore many hats, literally and figuratively, he was rarely seen without one on. He lit up rooms with his loud booming voice and magnetic personality. Tom loved his classic car collection and would only drive them on sunny days. Tom’s life was his family and took great pride in being a father and grandfather. He would joke that he had enough kids to make a football team. Tom always made sure his kids knew just how much he loved them and he was always there for him. Tom faced many health struggles, but remained strongly dedicated to God and his family. He taught his kids what it meant to be strong and to never give up. His face would light up when his grandkids would visit, he called daily to say “I love you.,” and never let his wife go a day without telling her multiple times how much he loved her.
Tom will be greatly missed by family and friends.
