Lakeshore’s offense erupted in a statement performance on the road, outpacing Gull Lake 56-41 behind a dominant ground game and six rushing touchdowns from quarterback Kaden Griffiths. The senior signal-caller was electric, racking up 233 yards on 22 carries, including scores from 10, 2, 4, 11, and 69 yards. After a back-and-forth start that saw Gull Lake briefly lead 10-7, Griffiths powered the Lancers to three straight second-quarter touchdowns to take control with a 28-10 advantage before halftime.

Gull Lake fought to stay close behind a strong night from quarterback Zac Pfennig, who threw for four touchdowns and 332 yards, but each Blue Devil surge was met with a Lakeshore answer. Late in the first half, Tristan Williams added a 13-yard touchdown run, while Griffiths repeatedly gashed the defense on keepers that extended drives and burned clock. Lakeshore entered the locker room up 28-18, setting the tone for a physical second half in which the offensive line continued to dominate the trenches.

The momentum carried into the third quarter when Jonah Chavez delivered a back-breaking 92-yard kickoff return touchdown moments after Gull Lake had trimmed the lead to three. That spark pushed the Lancers ahead 35-25 and silenced any thoughts of a Blue Devil comeback. Lakeshore’s defense also made key plays down the stretch, highlighted by two interceptions from Konrad Fletty and a sack by Eli Wheaton, helping limit Gull Lake’s air attack when it mattered most.

By night’s end, Lakeshore piled up 493 yards of total offense, including 449 on the ground, and never trailed after the second quarter. The win lifted the Lancers to 3-5 on the season, while Gull Lake dropped to 0-8. Lakeshore now turns its focus to the regular-season finale, as the Lancers return home to Al Stockman Stadium next week to host Portage Northern, looking to close out the year with back-to-back victories
