
Carol A. Bond, 89, of Bridgman, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Elise Low-Edwardson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Graceland Cemetery in Bridgman. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Carol’s name may be made to Stevensville United Methodist Church or the St. Joseph-Lincoln Senior Center. Carol was born October 10, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Walter & Pearl Nagelkirk. She graduated from Muskegon High School, Class of 1953 and attended Hope College in Holland. In 1969, Carol gained employment at Tele-Rad in Benton Harbor, retiring as office manager after over twenty-five years. On May 9, 1980, she married Robert I. Bond.
He preceded her in death on November 16, 1989.
While her children were in school, Carol was active in Cub Scouts and Little League. She also was active in the Blossomtime Festivities. Carol was a member of Stevensville United Methodist Church and the St. Joseph-Lincoln Senior Center. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the Senior Center and also with her many friends at the club house at Warren Dunes Estates. In her free time, Carol enjoyed reading, doing word search puzzles and listening to Johnny Cash & Elvis Presley. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carol is survived by her children-Thomas (Jacqueline) Woltman & Charles Woltman, both of Benton Harbor; her grandchildren-Chad & Adam Woltman, Duron (Atrell) Patton, Elizabeth Blaylock; several great-grandchildren; her brother Richard (Lorraine) Nagelkirk of Commerce Township, MI; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Bond, her former husband Kenneth Woltman, her daughter & son-in-law Jane & Mark McDaniels, her daughter-in-law Janet Woltman, and her brother Thomas Nagelkirk.
