DNR seeking thoughts from boaters with new survey

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is inviting boaters to take a survey to help the department better understand what’s important to them.

The survey, now online, seeks information on public amenities, services and infrastructure. Answers will help guide how waterway funds raised by boat registration fees and a portion of the state gas tax are invested for future generations.

The DNR is asking for everyone’s input on facility upgrades, like enhanced parking, more launch piers, in-and-out services, and other possible investments at boating access sites.

Boaters can make their voices heard now. The survey can be found right here.
