Bicyclist killed in Lake Township crash

A 73-year-old Stevensville man is dead after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Lake Township on Saturday.

The Baroda-Lake Township Police Department says officers were called to the scene at Jericho Road and Livingston Road around 1:45 p.m. The driver of the vehicle that struck the bicyclist called 911.

First responders found the bicyclist unresponsive and attempted life saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was a 53-year-old Bridgman man. The name of the bicyclist has not been released.

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.

Police say the crash remains under investigation and will be turned over to the Berrien County Prosecutor’s office for review once the investigation is complete.
