
Britta Ula Burns, 87, of South Haven, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on January 18, 1938, Britta lived a full and vibrant life marked by her love for family, her feisty spirit, and her ability to find joy in the little things. She was a devoted mother to Monica Allerman, Betty (Wayne) Wells, and Kenny (Diane) Allerman, Stepchildren- Alice, Nellie and Robert and a proud grandmother to Sandy Hawley, Lisa (Casper) Martin, Richie Ruelas, Bobby Rupert, Jason (Candace) Wells, Dustin (Sebrina) Wells, Harley (Danielle) Allerman, and Tabitha Allerman. Her legacy continues through her many great-grandchildren: Erica Smith, Tre’ Holmes, Hailei Taylor, Gavin Smith, Jomar Jean, Jovanier Jean, Karissa Jean, Mayliah Jean, Jayda Smith, George Martin, Enzo, Mateo, Alena, Kylee Wells, Maycee Wells, Cheyenne Wells, Noah, Landon Wells, Liam Allerman, Paisley Allerman, Kendryk Allerman, Rachel, Samantha and Johnny-Lee.
Britta was preceded in death by her beloved sons Robert (Bobby) Allerman and Ronald Burns, her daughters Karen Burns and Robin Lynn Burns, Stepchildren Sally Clayton, Mary Clayton, Raymond, Grandson Robert Wells (aka Maynard), Great grand-daughter Hailey Ann Smith, along with her parents, Ester and Mr. Edquist. Though they went before her, their memory remained close to her heart, and she has now joined them in eternal peace.
Britta found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—whether spending time with her family, shopping around town, or indulging in her love of Betty Boop collectibles. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, Yahtzee, and dice games, and was always ready for a laugh. Her sense of humor, warmth, and occasional feistiness brought light and joy to everyone who knew her.
There was never a dull moment with Britta. She was strong, caring, and deeply loved—qualities that will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain a blessing.
