It’ll be three days of food, drinks, and fun in Paw Paw this weekend as the community hosts the annual Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival Friday through Sunday.

Event Director Marilyn Clear tells us the community started celebrating the area’s grape industry as far back as the 1940s, and eventually, they added wine. After all, Paw Paw is a hub of great winemaking.

The festival is one of the largest fall events in Southwest Michigan.

It has grown to right now over 60 ,000 people attend in the three days,” Clear said.

Clear says the Wine and Harvest Festival offers something for everyone. They’ll have the always-popular grape stomp, an air dog jumping competition, special sales, a car and motorcycle show, and more.

We start Friday night with our fireworks, which are incredible, over and on our lake here, Maple Lake. Saturday, our car show, our 5K run. We have five, throughout town, five different entertainment stages.”

Local wineries and breweries will be serving up specials, and Clear says things will wrap up Sunday with a Hole in One Contest. You can find the full event schedule right here.
