Sandra Rae Jackson, age 85 of Sturgeon Bay, formerly of Berrien Springs, MI, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, with her family by her side.
She was born on September 12, 1939, to the late Raymond and Muriel (Lane) Priebe in Berwyn, Illinois. She is a 1957 graduate of Benton Harbor High School. She continued her education receiving her Associates of Applied Science degree from Southwestern Michigan in May 1983 while working full-time.
Sandra was united in marriage to Francis Kent Jackson on April 25, 1959, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Michigan. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2005. The couple was blessed with four children, Kim, Kristi, Michael, and Timothy.
She began working for Rudy Manufacturing in Dowagiac, MI, in 1969, now currently National Copper, until her retirement in September 2005.
Sandra served on the board of the Dowagiac Area Federal Credit Union for many years. She enjoyed reading and spending time in her flower gardens. She adored her cats and dogs over the years. Most of all she treasured her family. As her children were growing, she and her husband spent many years as 4-H leaders. She loved to take care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed attending any sporting event to watch her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Sandra is survived by her children, Kim (Jeff) Nyquist; and daughters, Amanda and Jillian (Johnathan); son, Tim Jackson; son-in-law, Mark (Tori) Doucette, and daughters, Meghan (Travis), Stephanie (Jeff), and son, Oliver, Samantha (Lee), and daughters, Addison, Savannah, and Jackie (Dakota); daughter-in-law, Andrea Jackson, and her daughter, Alicia, and her son, Jacob, Abbie (Kasey), and children, Jaden and Finly; brother, James (Donna) Priebe; sister, Vicki (Mike) Parker; brother, Richard (Karen) Priebe; brother-in-law, Franklin (Wanda) Jackson; and sister-in-law, Claudia Jackson. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, as well as great-nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; daughter, Kristi Doucette; son, Michael Jackson; and sister, Pat Enders.
A memorial service for Sandra will be held at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan on Saturday, September 6, 2025, visitation at 10:00 AM ET, followed by services at 11:00 AM ET. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Sodus, MI.
