Marilyn Carol Laesch, 82, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Niles, Michigan.
Carol was born on October 20, 1942, in Niles, Michigan to the late Paul Hahn and Evelyn (Daun) Hahn.
Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Hahn.
Left to cherish the memory of Carol is her loving husband of 61 years, Frederick Laesch; children, Frederick (Kelly) Laesch, Michael (Renu) Laesch, and Mary (Thom) Sibley; grandchildren, Jonah Sibley, Nicholas Sibley, Andrew Laesch, Maya Laesch, and Wiley Laesch; sister, Merian Kessler, and sister-in-law, Cathy Hahn.
Carol was a woman of many passions. She was an avid collector of cookbooks, always on the lookout for new recipes to try and share with her loved ones. Her love for flowers brightened her home and the lives of those around her. Carol also cherished her time spent bird watching, finding peace and joy in the beauty of nature. Her love for all animals reflected her gentle spirit, making her a true friend to creatures great and small.
Above all, family was at the center of her world; Carol deeply valued creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
Carol’s life was defined by her unwavering love for her family, her kindness, and her vibrant spirit. She touched the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Memorial contributions in honor of Carol may be made out to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Visitation for Carol will be on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1340 Sycamore St. Niles, MI. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:00am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery, 2925 Niles Rd, Saint Joseph, MI.
