Mary Jean “Jeannie” Walsh, 88, of Lakeside, Michigan, died peacefully, Friday, August 15, 2025, in the comfort of her family’s’ presence.
Her life began January 18, 1937 in Harvard, Illinois, the youngest of two children born to Maurice and Marie McCauley. She married Robert Walsh September 20, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death.
Jeannie enjoyed her life and every day to the fullest with the people she loved. Especially with her grandchildren.
Jeannie will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by daughters, Kathy Walsh, Jeannie Dugan, Trisha (Jerry) McFarland; sons, Dan (Susan) Walsh, and John (Tifanie) Walsh; grandchildren, Meggan Dugan, Michael (Maggie) Dugan, Molly Dugan, Jack Dugan, Ryan (Katie) Walsh, John Walsh and Lucy Walsh; brother, Tom (Pat) McCauley; cousin Tom (Kim) Lordan.
Family and friends will gather Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Drake and Sons Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60625. A Catholic Mass will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, 2330 West Sunnyside Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60625.
