Michigan is home to four of the top 100 high schools in the country. At least, that’s according to the latest rankings from U.S. News and World Report.
Lamont Jones, managing editor of education, says information like this is vital for parents looking to move into a good district.
“We want to know the quality of the schools and maybe where they should move,” Jones said. “That often informs relocation decisions or if there may be other options in the area they were unaware of that they can look into for the best education for their child.”
International Academy of Macomb and Clinton Township was the highest-ranked high school in the state. Nationally, they’re at number 11. Then International Academy in Bloomfield Hills is at number 21. City High Middle School in Grand Rapids is at number 48.
The Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy comes in at number 83.
