A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Bainbridge Township Thursday night.
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 11:18 p.m. at Meadowbrook and Michael roads. Deputies say a motorcycle was headed east on Meadowbrook when it hit the driver’s side of a Jeep turning onto Meadowbrook from Michael Road.
The motorcyclist — a 33-year-old man from the Eau Claire area — was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say he was wearing a helmet.
The Jeep’s driver, a 36-year-old woman from the Coloma area, was not reported injured.
Investigators say both speed and alcohol appear to be factors. The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s traffic crash reconstruction unit.
Names of the involved individuals have not yet been released by law enforcement.
