Margrit was a devoted, loving wife to Josef for 66 years. In 1953 they were married in Zurich, Switzerland. For their honeymoon the newlyweds sailed across the Atlantic aboard the SS United States ocean liner to New York City where they would immigrate to the United States and settle in St. Joseph, Michigan. Margrit and Josef were an adventurous couple. She was an excellent homemaker while also working as a saleslady in their bakery. It was a goal for her to make a grumpy customer smile. She loved her interactions with people and excelled at customer service. Margrit loved her family very much. She enjoyed traveling, music, cooking, sewing, time with friends and fellowship with her church family. She was a faithful Believer and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart. Margrit had a very cute sense of humor, liked to laugh, and was very cheerful. In her senior years she was known for yodeling to get your attention. Margrit’s memory will forever be in her family’s hearts.

Margrit is survived by her loving children, Mark (Barbara) Breitenmoser of Berrien Springs, Michigan and Heidi (David) Bybee of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; loving granddaughters Rita Bybee of Madison, Wisconsin and Tarnim Bybee of Chicago, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Bertha and husband Josef.
