Betty May Finn, 94 of Niles Michigan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 after a long and fruitful life. Although small in stature, Betty was a “Quiet Giant” in many ways. Betty was truly a selfless and humble person. Her ability to do many gracious and thoughtful things for others was a trademark for which she was known. Whether it was coffee and dessert for friends and missionaries after church, planning trips with the friends and families that were such an important part of Dick and Betty’s life, or the limitless “behind the scenes” things that she did throughout her whole life, Betty was always thinking of others. Another great example of her selflessness was the volunteer work that Betty and Dick contributed to World Missionary Press. This trait was evident with friends, family, and everyone that she met. Betty and Dick were fortunate to have many friends through the years, and their involvement in the “Happy Days Club” (retiree group which wintered in Cocoa Beach, Fla.) was always a high point each year.

As a valued and trusted employee, Betty retired from Simplicity Pattern Company and was fortunate to have many years of seeing her family grow. Growing up very poor and without a father, she never complained but, rather, showed an appreciation for all that her Lord had given her through her faith in Christ. These brief paragraphs fail to express the kind and gentle heart that Betty displayed in every situation. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Richard, and her grandson-in-law Shane Bloomberg. Survivors include children Becky Finn of Mounds, OK and Rob (Rhonda) Finn of Spring Lake, MI. Grandchildren Kym (Shawn) Reese, Jessica Finn-Bloomberg, Lee (Nicole) Ashcraft, Jacqueline (Jeremy) Sandison, Jennifer (David) Mann, and Jordan (Elsbeth) Finn. Great-grandchildren Kailyn Reese (Drew Wilcoxson), Kristopher Reese, Gabby Bloomberg, Jenna Reese, Kinley Reese, Jude Sandison, Lexie Ashcraft, Owen Sandison, Ryker Reese, Lyra Sandison, Rylee Ashcraft, Dawson Reese, Chloe Ashcraft, Calvin Finn, Finn Mann.

Betty was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, South Bend, where her life will be honored in a Memorial Service on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 11:00am. Prior to the service, burial will take place at Truitt Chapel Bertrand cemetery, Niles.
