The Buchanan Police Department will hold its annual National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 5 at McCoy Creek Park behind Buchanan High School.
The department says the Night Out is a chance for everyone to meet with their local first responders and learn more about what they do. Taking place as part of the Night Out this year will be a community picnic filled with music, food, fun activities for all ages, and equipment displays from not only Buchanan police, but other nearby agencies.
The Night Out will run from 6 to 9 p.m. and everyone’s invited to come and meet their police.
There will also be Night Out events in St. Joseph Township and Benton Harbor the same night. The national theme this year is “Give Neighborhood Crime and Drugs a Going Away Party.”
