Now operating in the city of St. Joseph is a trolley service to take residents and visitors to their destinations without having to worry about finding parking.

Visit Southwest Michigan says anyone can hop on the Free Shop and Shore Trolley and decide which stop they’d like to go to. The stops include the parking lot at 211 Hilltop Road, the parking lot at the corner of Church and Pleasant Streets, beachside near Lake and Broad Streets, and the corner of Lake Boulevard and Ship Street.

The trolley will run through Labor Day and run every hour with a one-hour break from 2 to 3 p.m. Each one-hour loop will start at 211 Hilltop Road and make three downtown stops. The final loop begins at 8 p.m. and returns to the Hilltop parking lot by 9 p.m.

The trolley is sponsored by Visit Southwest Michigan and Clark Logic. It has air conditioning, is ADA-accessible, and can hold up to 26 riders.
