There are all sorts of places to go and see in Michigan in the summertime.

Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids wants you to check them out with a special sculpture exhibition and plenty for kids to do. The park’s John Vanderhaagen says they’re also holding summer concerts.

What we call our main series is the Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts at Meijer Gardens,” Vanderhaagen said. “That’s a 34 show series at our 1900 C amphitheater. So it’s a small, intimate, outdoor amphitheater, beautiful garden space that then also has concerts. We’ve got upcoming shows including the Psychedelic Furs. We have a couple shows featuring major recording artists with the Grand Rapids Symphony.”

Next summer, Vanderhaagen says they will have the popular Dale Chihuly Glass Exhibition.
