Several Michigan lawmakers will be in Washington this week.
The Michigan House Republican delegation is sending about 40 members to meet with the Trump administration on a variety of issues, like Selfridge Air National Guard Base and the future of Line 5.
State Representative Joe Aragona from Clinton Township said he’s focusing on issues to Macomb County.
“We’re just kind of trying to bring Michigan matters to the focus of the administration and we know that Michigan is a focus for them so they’re kind of trying to tell us where their head is at as it relates to Michigan.” Argona said.
Lawmakers say the one-day trip is to find shared priorities and get a commitment from the Trump administration that would benefit Michigan families and businesses.
