There are now two new members of the Berrien RESA Board of Education.
School boards across Berrien County this week held the election. RESA says selected for spots on its board were Nancy Kiernan of Berrien Springs and Daniel Buckenmeyer of Sawyer, each to six-year terms. Both terms expire on June 30, 2031.
During the district’s July organizational meeting, board members will determine positions and committee assignments for the next school year.
Berrien RESA’s Board of Education members are elected by Berrien County school district board of education members. Prior to the official election, each local district adopts a resolution indicating who they intend to vote for as well as nominates a designee to officially submit their district’s ballot.
Ballots were cast during an election held Monday night at Berrien RESA’s Administrative Center.
