
The U.S. Army is celebrating its 250th birthday this month.
The Army was formed on June 14, 1775, and the Association of the US Army — Arsenal of Democracy Detroit Chapter will be celebrating in a big way.

“We have a message from Governor Whitmer that we’re going to present at the formal portion of the event, and then we also have some other local leaders, sports leaders presenting as well,” Cogger said.
Cogger says the Detroit chapter hosts an Army Birthday party every year, but they’re making it an even bigger deal for the 250th anniversary. That includes events across downtown throughout the day.
