Tickets are now on sale for the 28th annual South Haven Cottage Walk.
SHOUT for South Haven’s Patty Sheppard told us last month us the Cottage Walk, on June 28, will be a chance for anyone to take a tour of noteworthy or historic homes around the community, perhaps to get decorating ideas for their own home, to learn a little something, or just to satisfy their curiosity.
“Four to five homeowners in the South Haven area open their homes or their cottages to the public,” Sheppard said. “We sell tickets. The tickets are $20 each and visitors tour the cottages between 12 and 5 o’clock.”
Sheppard says this year’s cottages range from one with a storied history to a just-constructed river front condominium to traditional cottages in the city’s south shoreline district. And she says topping it all off with a visit to the Michigan Historic Site Scott Club is going to make for a memorable afternoon.
Around 300 people take part in the Cottage Walk each year, and tickets are on sale during normal business hours at the South Haven Chamber of Commerce and the South Haven Visitors Bureau. They will also be sold on the morning of the Cottage Walk at the Farmers Market in downtown Dyckman Park.
Sheppard says proceeds from the walk will support SHOUT for South Haven and the Scott Club.
