Diane Marie Turanzas, 79, of Casco, Mi. passed away at her home on February 3rd, 2025. She was born June 3rd, 1945 to Gordon and Marie Overhiser and lived in the community of Leisure, in Casco, her entire life.
She graduated from L.C. Mohr High School in 1963.
A Celebration of Diane’s life will be held on June 7, 2025 with Visitation starting at 11 a.m. at Casco UMC, 880 66th St. South Haven, Michigan, 49090. A Memorial Service will follow starting 12 p.m. also at Casco UMC. Pastor Christina Fleming will officiate.
Diane is preceded in death by José Turanzas, her husband of 51 years, her sister Shirley Harvey, and her parents Gordon and Marie Overhiser.
Diane is survived by her brothers Daniel (Jolynn) and Ronald (Vanessa) Overhiser, her children Miguel, Edward, Enriqueta, Joseph Turanzas and Jennifer Hendricksen.
Diane worked at Everett Piano Company for 21 years, and there she met José and they were married in 1972.
Diane was an avid reader, loved doing puzzles, was an amazing cook, had beautiful flower gardens, and she had a wealth of knowledge on the history of Casco Township.
Diane loved the community she lived in; she was a mentor to at risk children, she volunteered at the Open Door dinners and was a member of Casco United Methodist Church where she had so many friends.
