Another two tornadoes from last week’s storm in Michigan have been confirmed. That brings the total to 11 tornadoes that hit southern lower Michigan last Thursday night.

The latest tornadoes confirmed hit Ottawa County, an EF0 causing tree damage.

National Weather Service Grand Rapids meteorologist Joe Ceru says the other hit Barry County, an EF1.

That peak wind was around 100 miles an hour,” Ceru said. “That tornado crossed the southern point of Gun Lake before traveling northeast and lifting off just northeast of the Otis Sanctuary. That had mostly tree damage along the path. Those several homes had minor roof damage and were damaged by falling trees.”

Ceru says there are no reports of injuries. There have now been 27 tornadoes in Michigan this year.
