A K9 with the Cass County Sheriff’s Department has taken a bite out of home invasions by catching a break-in suspect over the weekend.
The department tells us deputies were called to a home in the village of Cassopolis around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday to assist the Cassopolis Police Department with a home invasion and were told the suspect had already run off.
K9 Sitka was brought in and found a track on the suspect. The dog found the suspect hiding a short distance from the home. Police were then able to make an arrest with no further incident.
The name of the suspect has not been released.
