Wanda L. Kopaceski Norton, 87, of Niles, formerly of Dowagiac and Buchanan, passed away Tuesday morning, May 6, 2025, at Brentwood of Niles Senior Living.
She was born on July 26, 1937, in Dowagiac.
Surviving are two sons – James (Zoraida) Norton and Jon (Anna) Norton; six grandchildren – Jacob (Kanyon) Norton; Jeremy (Jessica) Hagenow, Kirsten (Landon) Fazi, Lindsey (Erik) Norman, Jon Norton Jr, and Kassandra Norton; eight great-grandchildren – Jeremy Hagenow Jr, Kaylie Hagenow, Paris Gurley, Taylor Gurley, Tanner Norman, Brooklynn Norman, Layten Penn and Jayden Norton; brother – Kenneth (Rebecca Wilson) Cox; sister – Judith (Tom) Branch; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her infant son – Patrick Norton; father – Walter Kopaceski; mother – Gladys (Churchill) Cox; and step-father – Lyle Cox.
A service to celebrate Wanda’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Clark Chapel and Cremation Services – Starks Family Funeral Homes, 405 Center St, Dowagiac. Pastor Mike Shinabery of Volinia Baptist Church will officiate. Memorial contributions may be directed to Heartland Hospice (www.heartlandhsp.com).
