Thousands of Michigan college students walked across the stage over the weekend to graduate. How’s the job outlook in these uncertain economic times?

Staffing firm Robert Half’s Shannon Edlinger says findings from the National Association of Colleges and Employers, it’s not bad in this competitive market.

Nearly 90% of employers anticipate increasing or maintaining hiring levels for the class specifically of 2025,” Edlinger said. “Now, some interesting components of this job market, instead of a GPA, nearly two-thirds of the employers report using skill-based hiring process.”

Edlinger says some companies will hire interns. She says in demand jobs are IT and engineers.

For grads, Edlinger recommends having an online presence and practicing for interviews.
