If you love flowers, you may want to head to Holland for Tulip Time.
There are four and a half million tulips in Holland for the 96th Tulip Time. Festival Director Gwen Auwerda says they’re blooming right on time.
“They are going to be perfect next week for sure this weekend,” Auwerda said. “Also, we’ve got a lot that are blooming. We have some that are still budded and we plant early, mid and late tulips for that very reason so that there’s something blooming during the festival. And this cool weather has been very helpful for them.”
Auwerda says Tulip Time has an artisan market, Dutch dancing, entertainment and a couple of parades.
The festival runs through May 11th, Mother’s Day. For a full lineup, go to TulipTime.com.
