In loving memory of Daniel Lewis McNew, 50, of Coloma passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2025.
The family will begin receiving friends 11:00 am Saturday, April 12 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma for a time of sharing, visiting, and ceremonies, concluding at 2:00 pm. Daniel was born July 11, 1974 in Berrien Springs. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend who leaves behind four loving children; Katrina McNew of Coloma, Cody Jensen of Greenwood, Ind., Danielle McNew and Ethon Daniel McNew of Coloma. He was also a proud grandfather of Josiah Jensen, son of Cody.
Daniel is survived by his loving mother Peggy McNew of Stevensville and father Mr. and Mrs. Perry Danny McNew of Coloma; brother Mr. and Mrs. David McNew, nephew Cain McNew and great nephew Makaiah McNew of Benton Harbor, brother Joseph Lewis of Watervliet and brother Christopher McNew of Coloma. He is also survived by his sister Mr. and Mrs. Terri Lewis-Hill of Eau Claire, nephew Michael Lewis of Eau Claire, nieces Leanna Lewis and Brooke Pennington of Stevensville, sister Shelly Poole, nephew Felix Poole and nieces Alexia Poole and Mia Marcano of Stevensville. Daniel is also survived by his fiancé Rebecca Lowery and five cherished step children who he loved as his own and two grandchildren.
Daniel was preceded in death by his step father Terry Poole of Indianapolis, his grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who welcomed him with open arms.
Daniel will be remembered for his big heart, his loyalty to those he loved, and his quiet strength. His presence will be deeply missed but the love and memories he gave will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
