Garry Leroy Griffin, 72, of Berrien Springs passed away on Saturday March 29, 2025. He was born on March 13, 1953, in Benton Harbor, MI to the late Wilbur and Betty Mae Griffin. He worked for Lakeshore Auto Body, and Lakeshore Auto Clinic then Pearson Construction for just under 40 years. He loved fixing and painting cars, going up north to his cabin, and being a snowbird in Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Don. Garry is deeply missed by his wife, Pam. His daughter Heather (Randy) Schmaltz; stepchildren Jennifer (Micah) Smith, Wesley Smith, Melody (Luke) Villa, and Drake Smith; brothers Charles Griffin, and James Griffin; grandchildren, Ryan (Krystal) Schmaltz, Hailey (Kris) Anstiss, Henry (Brooklyn) Schmaltz; step grandchildren, Ashley, Hunter, Urijah, Logan, Summer Smith; great grandchildren, Oliver, Emilia, Waylon, Lauren and Jack; his nephews and nieces, and his dog Scruffy. A Celebration of Garry’s life will be at 1:00PM on April 27, 2025, with a luncheon at the American Legion Post 568 in Stevensville, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Garry’s name to Hospice or Southwest Michigan Humane Society.
