
It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Dale Charles Doggendorf, who transitioned from this life on April 3, 2025. Born on October 30, 1951, in St. Joseph, MI, Dale lived an extraordinary and fulfilling life that was characterized by his humble demeanor, intellectual prowess, creative spirit, and witty sense of humor.
Dale was a lifelong resident of Southwest Michigan, making his home in Galien. He was a proud and accomplished welder, dedicating 28 years of his career to Leco Manufacturing. His colleagues often remarked on his smart and innovative approach to his work, which was a testament to his exceptional skill and dedication. Dale was also an avid model builder, channeling his creativity into intricate and exquisite pieces that resonated with his unique sense of style.
His life was enriched by the love of his family and friends. He is survived by his brother Ron Doggendorf, sister Judy Naumann, and close friend Cory Kietzer. Dale’s loyal K-9 companion, Sonny, also survives him. Dale was preceded in death by his father Nick Doggendorf, mother Bette Doggendorf, sister Carol Eichler, and his devoted partner of 38 years, Patsy Klingerman. Dale’s love for Patsy and Sonny was immeasurable and underscored his compassionate and loving nature.
A graveside service to celebrate Dale’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Galien Township Cemetery, 1642-1698 Pulaski Highway, Galien, Michigan, 49113.
