Sandra “Sandy” Ball, 61, of St. Joseph died Monday, November 4, 2024 at her residence.
Family Services celebrating her life will be held at 1 PM on Monday, November 11, at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service & Cremation Service in Benton Township with Rev. Billie Long officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Sodus Township. The visitation will begin at Noon on Monday at the Fairplain Chapel. Sandy was born on February 13, 1963, in Benton Harbor to James and Ora Ball. She attended Safe Harbor Church in Sodus and enjoyed the gospel music. Sandy had been physically and mentally handicapped all her life, but established a connection with her sister, Debbie. She enjoyed car rides and getting hamburgers while she was out. Sandy also enjoyed the Blossomland Learning Center which she attended. She loved hearing fireworks and her See & Say Boxes. Sandy will be missed by her family.
Her family includes her brother, Robert L. Ball of Eau Clare; her sister, Deby (Dan) Briley of Watervliet; her nieces and nephews and her Caregivers at Glenhaven: Mabel and Tabitha. She was preceded in death by her parents, James in 2024 and Ora Lee in 1999, her sister, Melinda Michael in 2017, and James’ second wife, Peggy Ball in 2023.
