Margaret Ann Harshberger, 87 of South Haven passed away Monday September 23, 2024. Born on October 21, 1936 in Chicago IL to Gustav and Maragret Karaus. United in marriage to the late James Ralph Harshberger.
Margaret is survived by her children: James (Jean) Harshberger, Laura (Jack) Jiles, 4 grandchildren, and 10 greatgrandchildren. Also survived by siblings; Kenneth (Dorothy) Gustav, Lorraine “Cookie” Henry and Joyce Krzmen.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband James Harshberger and siblings; Don Karaus and Gustav Karaus.
Margaret attended the one room Wood School in Bangor and then went to Bangor High School. After High School she met and married James Hershberger and together they raised James and Laura. Margaret was a strong woman, feisty, hardworking, quitting was not an option. She was goofy, silly with a good sense of humor. She loved being outside working in her flower beds and gardening. She spent her time inside watching old musicals, drawing and coloring. She loved her grandkids and her family. She will be deeply missed.
The family will privately celebrate Margarets life at a later date, as cremation as taken place.
