Michigan State Police are asking for the public’s help in finding someone who vandalized a sign. Not just any sign — but the Welcome to Pure Michigan sign facing northbound motorists on the US 31 Bypass at the state line in Bertrand Township.
Police say the sign was shot 18 times with what appears to be rifle rounds. No suspects are known at this time.
Michigan State Police took to social media and says, “To the lawless individual(s) responsible for this reckless use of a firearm, once your identity is known you will be charged & prosecuted to the highest extent of the law!”
