Ray Duane Bonnell, 74, of Paw Paw, passed away Thursday August 29, 2024, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born February 13, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Ray Duane Bonnell and Loretta (Ricci) Bonnell. He grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois and attended Hinsdale Central High School.
Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, He worked in the Chicago area as a Carpenter for many years. He was an avid golfer, starting at age 14 as a caddy. He raised two sons, Christopher and Benjamin.
Ray married his wife Bernice in 2010 and relocated to Paw Paw. He is a member of Lake Cora Golf Course and the American Legion Post #68.
He is survived by his wife Bernice, his two sons Christopher (Katherine) Bonnell of Oswego Illinois and Benjamin Bonnell of Naperville, Illinois; sister, Joann McHugh of Oregon, Illinois; and three grandchildren, Gavin, Henry and Jacob Bonnell.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and Son, Nicholas Henry.
Family and Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen officiating.
