Donna Kay Stantz-Scott, born on September 20, 1943, in Watervliet, Michigan, was a loving, caring, compassionate mother. She was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew her, illuminating with her strength, qualities, and spirit. The world has indeed lost a gem on August 20, 2024, but her legacy continues to inspire and nurture us. What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.

Donna was a proud and diligent employee, donning the roles of a night auditor in the hotel industry and a mail carrier for the US Post Office. Her industrious nature and dedication to her work earned her recognition and respect from colleagues and superiors alike. However, the most profound accomplishment of Donna was her graduation from Coloma High School, a feat she achieved with hard work, determination, and a thirst for knowledge. While her achievements were many, what mattered most to Donna was her family. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Donna, a loving mother, is survived by her children, Roman Zehner, Darlene Dillenbeck, Deanna Rolfe, Roger Zehner, and Debra Inde; grandchildren, Roman, Jennifer, Jessica, Laura, Matt, Christopher, Benjamin, Amber, Derrick, Tabitha, Roger, Peter, Nicholas; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willard Stantz; mother, Blanche Stantz; brothers, Norman and Gerald Stantz; sister, Juanita Bloodworth; and beloved grandson, Ryne Zehner. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her life, remembering her as a beacon of love, compassion, and strength.

Visitation for Donna will be held on Monday, August 26th, 2024 at 11:00 am followed by the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at Hoven Funeral Home, 414 East Front Street, Buchanan, Michigan 49107.
