
Karol Ann Chabot of Riverside, MI died August 17, 2024. She was born on August 16, 1941, to Alfred and Jeanette (Ossiginac) Chabot in St. Joe, MI.
She has a sister, Marlene Davis, and one brother, Lee (Fran) Chabot and sister-in-law, Linda Chabot. A brother, Fred Chabot, is deceased. Her nieces and nephews are Jamie (Lori) Chabot of Novi, MI, Joe Chabot of Newton-Grove, NC. Here in Riverside, MI are Heather (Todd) Hess, Brent Chabot, and Paige Chabot. Browning (Kristin) Chabot resides in Dowagiac, MI. She leaves 10 great nieces and nephews: Jacquelyn Chabot and Nathan Chabot in Novi, MI. Ty (Katie) Hess, Bryor Hess, Wayde Hess, and Clay Hess live here in Riverside, MI. Rylie (Ben) Vinz resides in Sheboygan, MI. Piper Chabot, Reese Chabot, and Josie Chabot reside in Dowagiac MI. She has three great-great nieces, Skye Hess, Ryder Hess, and Saige Hess in Riverside, MI. Finally, she leaves her beloved companion, “Cody”, her little dog.
Karol Ann loved to ride horses and was an excellent trainer. She was always in the barn with her horses. As a member of the Tumbleweed 4-H Club at the Berrien County Youth Fair, she won grand champion with her horse, Star Pointer. She retired from Whirlpool Corporation and had many good memories and good friends. Traveling was Karol Ann’s passion, and she also loved to attend softball and baseball games. The most important part of her life was being an active member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians in Manistee, MI. She was always volunteering, going to meetings, and participating in tribal events.
There will be graveside services for Karol Ann on Friday, August 23 at 2 p.m. at Lakeshore Cemetery, 2901 Eaman Rd, Benton Harbor, MI. After the services, Karol Ann’s family invite you to gather with us at 3461 Riverside Rd, Benton Harbor, MI.
