You can ride Michigan’s ORV trails for free this Saturday and Sunday because it’s a free ORV weekend, when you don’t have to buy an ORV license or trail permit.
State trails coordinator Tim Novak says there are a lot of trails in the state parks.
“Between single track motorbike trails, 50-inch ATV, ORV trails, and then our unrestricted ORV routes — which will take like a full 72-inch side-by-side — between those three groups, we have roughly 6,000 miles of trail throughout the state,” Novak said.
Novak expects a lot of out of state visitors for the weekend because these free weekends are quite popular.
