Michigan is seeing a boost in food insecurity as Feeding America currently estimates that 1.4 million Michiganders are experiencing hunger.
Forgotten Harvest is working to tackle the problem with expanded services. CEO Adrian Lewis says food insecurity affects people of all backgrounds.
“Food insecurity has no face, right? And it can happen at any given time to anyone. And for us to be able to help meet that need free of charge.”
Lewis says Forgotten Harvest provided 33 million meals to hungry Michiganders last year.
