A Niles Township man is facing charges after a meth bust on Wednesday.
The Southwest Enforcement Team says officers searched a home in the 200 block of Roberts Street in Niles Township as a result of a hydrocodone pill trafficking investigation and tips about drug sales taking place at the home.
During the search, SWET says it found crystal meth. The 61-year-old resident was arrested and taken to the Berrien County jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, delivery of a Schedule II narcotic, and maintaining a drug house.
SWET thanked the community for reporting its suspicions.
The agency advises anyone who knows someone struggling with a drug problem to reach out to Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, noting Southwest Michigan loses nearly twice as many lives to drug overdoses each year as it does to car crashes.
