Bertrand Township has approved a tax abatement for a manufacturer looking to expand in the area.
Township trustees this week gave the green light to an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption for C&S Machine, which makes ultra-precision components for various industries, particularly in aerospace.
Cornerstone Alliance says C&S is investing $3.6 million for the restoration and renovation of its 10,000 square foot facility, along with the acquisition of new equipment. The expansion project aims to bolster production capacity and accommodate the growing demands for C&S Machine’s components.
The tax break grants C&S Machine a tax exemption on new equipment and improvements for 12 years.
Cornerstone Alliance says it’s thrilled to support C&S as it seeks to expand. The project is expected to create five to ten new jobs upon completion.
