Homer D. Cooley
age 81
Of Bloomingdale
Passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 at Ascension Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo. Homer was born October 6, 1942 in Allegan, the son of Frederick and Frances (Zimmer) Cooley, and has lived all of his life in the Bloomingdale area.
He was barber in downtown Bloomingdale for many years. Homer was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed farming the family farm.
Surviving are his wife, Diana whom he married January 12, 1963; 4 children, Christine (Dan) King of Bloomingdale, Dale (Mary) Cooley of Fennville, Linda (Pete) Smith of Gobles, Paul Cooley of Breedsville; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Fred and Duane Cooley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson.
The family will meet friends 10-11 AM, Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bangor, where Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM with Fr. German Perez officiant. Interment will follow in Pearson Cemetery, Cheshire Township.
