Daniel Frank Sutton, 70, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in South Bend, Indiana surrounded by his loving family.

Daniel was born on June 19, 1953 in Riverside, California to the late John Dean Sutton and Eleanor (Nelson) Palierto.

Along with his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Vann.

Left to cherish the memory of Daniel is his loving wife, Jaeniece (Parson) Sutton; children, Alex (Codey) Sutton, Guinevere (William) Carson, Elizabeth Sutton, and Autumn Baird; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and sisters, Carol Sutton and Estelle Mills.

A proud Vietnam veteran, Daniel dedicated a portion of his life to serving his country in the United States Air Force with an unwavering spirit of patriotism and valor.

Upon returning to civilian life, Daniel channeled his leadership skills into his role as a superintendent, where he masterfully oversaw the construction of high-end homes. His craftsmanship was only rivaled by the strings of his guitar, which he played with as much passion and precision as he lived his life.

Daniel was an exceptional father and grandfather, whose laughter and spontaneous adventures remain etched in the hearts of his family. He attended his grandchildren’s events with the same enthusiasm he brought to his own pursuits—fishing, golfing, and hiking through nature’s vast playgrounds.

To his beloved wife, Jaeniece, Daniel was not only a partner but the greatest teacher, imbuing life with joy, adventure, and learning through every shared experience. Known as a charming prankster, his legacy of kindness and mentorship will continue to live on in the stories and laughter of those who were privileged to know him. Daniel’s enduring love for the outdoors and his unparalleled ability to nurture growth in others have indeed made the world a richer place.

Daniel was loved by many and will be missed by all.
