Wayne Fortune, 73, of Watervliet, died Friday, March 8, 2024, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
Services celebrating his life will be held in the Springtime at Fairview Cemetery in Watervliet Township and cremation has taken place. Arrangements are by the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Coloma. Please share memories or messages at www.florin.net.
Wayne was born on December 20, 1950 in Augusta, Arkansas to James and Odell Fortune. He liked to go to car shows and enjoyed watching old westerns on TV. He was employed on several of the farms in the area. But more importantly, Wayne enjoyed being a homebody.
His family includes his sisters, Mary Fortune of Coloma, Annie (Randy) Kaeding of Stevensville, and Bettie (Ernie) Rodgers of Houston, Texas; his brothers, Tom Fortune of Watervliet and Stoney Fortune of Benton Harbor; and his many nieces and nephew.
