Terrance Lynn Ramsay, known affectionately as Terry, embarked on his greatest adventure on March 4, 2024. Born on September 26, 1942, in Bridgman, Michigan, Terry was a man defined by his adventurous spirit, courage, wit, and humility. His journey through life was as vast as the open roads he traveled as a truck driver. His stories were as varied and rich as the landscapes he crossed. A true trucker at heart, he brought the same dedication and passion to farming, country music, and dance. He had a special place in his heart for his dogs.
Terrance served in the Marines from 1963 to 1967, a testament to his courage and commitment to his country. It was during his service that he met his beloved wife, Leona, a meeting that would shape the course of his life. Their love story was one for the ages, filled with laughter, joy, and unwavering mutual respect. As Albert Einstein once said, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” Terry embodied this sentiment, always looking forward to the next challenge, the next adventure, the next dance.
Terry is lovingly remembered by his nephews Tim (Luann) and Jim Ramsay, his niece Judith Stidman, and his sister-in-law Lois Ramsay. He was preceded in death by his parents Alpheus and Lydia Ramsay, his wife Leona Ramsay, and his brother Robert Ramsay. Terrance’s life was a testament to the power of perseverance, the joy of adventure, and the importance of humor.
As we commemorate Terrance, let us celebrate his life and the many ways he touched our hearts. We invite you to share your memories and photos of Terrance on his memorial page. Each story and picture will serve as a reminder of his adventurous spirit, his courageous heart, and his witty charm. Terry may have embarked on his final journey, but his memory will forever be a part of our lives. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Caring Circle in Terry’s memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan.
