

Joe Glenn Curtis, Sr., 85, of Berrien Springs died on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
Services celebrating his life will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 28, at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Benton Township with Rev. Furney Revels officiating. Burial will follow in Misson Hills Memorial Cemetery in Niles. The visitation will begin at Noon on Wednesday, February28, at the Fairplain Chapel. Joe was born on January 27, 1939, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Thomas Eli and Cordie Curtis. He married his wife, Marjorie, and together they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Joe retired after 30 years of employment from Bosch where he was in the janitorial department. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War and a member of the Berrien Springs American Legion Post 85. Joe was a member of the Safe Harbor Church of God of Prophecy in Sodus Township. He enjoyed watching “Gunsmoke” on TV and was a homebody. Joe also enjoyed the outdoors.
His family includes his wife, Marjorie of Berrien Springs; his children, Joseph David Curtis, Jr. of Niles, Thomas (Grace) Curtis of Stevensville, and Kathy (Brian) Kerlikowske of Perry, Georgia; his 7 grandchildren; his 8 great grandchildren; his 2 great great grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews.
